Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2 years of experience in a software house or IT environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our desktop and web-based applications through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform manual testing for desktop and web applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs, and ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide QA insights.
• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-release validation.
• Perform API testing and basic database validation where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in testing web and desktop applications.
• Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
