Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2 years of experience in a software house or IT environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our desktop and web-based applications through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform manual testing for desktop and web applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs, and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide QA insights.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-release validation.
- Perform API testing and basic database validation where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in testing web and desktop applications.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
