Create Team:
Follow these steps to create team in dynamic 365
- Go to Settings
- Click on Security. From here you can see the Team link.

3. Click on the Team link and you will be directed to the following window. Which show the existing teams which are already created and from here you can create new one.

4. From here click on + Create Team button at the ribbon, new window will be open on the right side of the to enter the detail of the new team. Enter the following detail to create new team.
a Team name: Be sure this name is unique within a business unit.
b. Description: Enter a description of the team.
c. Business unit: Select the business unit from the dropdown list.
D. Administrator: Search for users in the organization. Start entering characters.

5. If the team type is Microsoft Entra Security group or Microsoft Entra Office group, you must also enter these fields:
a. Group name: Start entering text to select an existing Microsoft Entra group name. These groups are pre-created in Microsoft Entra ID.
B. Membership type: Select the membership type from the dropdown list.

Once the team is established, you have the option to include team members and designate appropriate security roles. This ensures that users added to the teams will have access to data in accordance with the security roles assigned to the team.

Note: Individuals with Create, Read, Update (Write), and Delete (CRUD) permissions for the Team entity are authorized to establish any type of team.
Convert owner teams to access teams
You can convert owner teams to become access teams.
- When click on the Owner team from the list of available teams. You will see following menu.

2. When clicked Convert owner team to access team, confirmation dialog appears to confirm owner team to access team.

Note: The system assigns each business unit a specific owner team. If you transition these teams to access teams, they will lose the ability to own records.
Once the conversion of business unit owner teams to access teams occurs, reverting them back to owner teams is not possible. Microsoft Entra group teams or access teams cannot become another access team. Before converting an owner team into an access team, reassign all its associated records to a different user or team. Upon conversion, the system removes all security role assignments linked to the owner team.
